About APT

Associates in Pediatric Therapy (APT) is a therapeutic clinic practice providing services for children with special needs in Kentucky, Indiana, and Tennessee. Founded in October 2007,  by Renea Sageser, who was then a stay-at-home mom, APT officially opened the first clinic’s doors in January, 2008, in Shelbyville, KY. In 2008, APT had six part-time employees and today, we are over 450+ employees strong and growing. APT focuses on opening clinics in rural areas so children may receive the quality of services they need closer to their home. APT is a company founded on Christian values of faith and family.

Our Strength

APT prides itself on being 100% family focused for both patients and employees. We are proud of the overall culture we have established and align it with our company’s mission “Advancing Patients to their next Therapeutic level”. Benefits for employees include providing internal mentorships for new employees, flexible hours, team building retreats and events, as well as childcare on site.

Our Unique Appeal

APT offers multiple pediatric services to the patient and family using a team approach. We provide therapy in a variety of fun and exciting locations that are appealing to the patient and family. We also value our partnerships with other pediatric facilities, including local daycares, pediatric nursing facilities, and private and public schools in order to provide therapy within a child’s natural learning environment. As a result, our patients love to come to therapy.

Our Mission

To Advance Patients to their next Therapeutic Level.

To conduct family-centered therapy with honesty, empathy, and professional integrity and to treat others with sensitivity and respect for all areas of diversity.

To offer flexible employment opportunities.

To challenge ourselves to advance to the next level within our scope of practice.

To build a strong business that is an active corporate citizen in our community.
