Social Skills Groups at APT!

This group is for any school-age child who would like to enrich their social intelligence and make new friends! Sessions will build upon already established social skills and develop new ones such as playing cooperatively, initiating and sustaining friendships, working in groups, reading facial expressions, identifying emotions, and more. We will address these skills through various activities such as preparing a simple recipe, structured gross motor play and art activities. Classes will be facilitated by a licensed occupational therapist and developmental interventionist.

Suggested ages: 6-12

Suggested diagnoses: Autism Spectrum Disorder (all levels), speech disorders/delays, Tourette’s syndrome, ADHD, and any other diagnoses with social challenges

Class size: 8

Times/Dates: Thursdays from 5:15-6:15pm 11/9, 11/16, 11/30, 12/7 and 12/14 (off for Thanksgiving)
Cost: $150 for package, payable in advance. A $50 deposit is required to hold a spot upon sign-up. Due to the nature of the group, it is recommended that your child be able to attend every session to build on previously addressed skills. As such, no refunds will be given for individual missed visits.”
