Q. When did you decide you wanted to be a therapist?
A. In high school, I shadowed a SLP in a skilled nursing facility for career day and decided that is what I wanted to be when I grew up.
Q. Why did you choose speech therapy?
A. Helping someone learn to communicate, become a more proficient communicator, or regain the ability to communicate…what could be better?!
Q. How long have you been a therapist?
A. I’ve been a speech therapists for 5 years.
Q. What made you choose APT as your employer?
A. The diverse pediatric population, flexible work opportunities, and a great group of therapists to learn from.
Q. What is the best part of being a therapist?
A. When I’m with the kids, work does not feel like work. I look forward to seeing the progression of their communication, social, and feeding skills each week. I love forming relationships with my clients and their families.
