About Student Shadowing & Undergraduate Internships

Are you a student interested in exploring a future in pediatric therapy? At Associates in Pediatric Therapy, we proudly support the next generation of therapists through our internship and job shadowing opportunities. Whether you’re pursuing a degree in Speech, Occupational, Physical, or ABA Therapy—or simply exploring your career options—our team offers hands-on experiences in a collaborative, supportive environment.

What We Offer:

  • Opportunities to shadow licensed pediatric therapists

  • Internships for undergraduate and graduate students

  • Real-world exposure to therapy sessions, documentation, and clinic operations

Are you a New Graduate?

If you are a graduate student in PT/OT/ST please reach out to students@kidtherapy.org if you would be interested in completing one of your pediatric externships with us!

We do hire new graduates, if you are interested in working with us, please view our Open Positions.

Undergraduate Internship Application

If you require or are requesting MORE than 20 hours, we will categorize you as a “volunteer/intern” (unpaid). You will need to complete the below application.

Student Shadowing Survey

Please complete this application if you are requesting 20 hours or less.

What to Expect After Placement

In addition to completing the above surveys, ALL students at APT are required to complete the following items once you receive a placement:

  • A HIPAA training course to ensure APT’s compliance with HIPAA regulations. This training is a 1-1.5 hour time commitment with a short quiz.
  • Sign and return a confidentiality agreement
  • Review and acknowledge the student dress code policy
