ABA School Readiness Program
What is ABA School Readiness?
School readiness is aimed for kids aged 3-5 and their families to help them prepare for a school setting who might have a barrier to a traditional preschool setting. We combine the principles of ABA with typical preschool classroom activities to help children be successful in the kindergarten classroom. Our biggest focuses are communication, social skills, self-regulation, academic readiness, and independence. All of our goals are both individual for the client but also work on group skills in the classroom.
Why is ABA Readiness Important?
Our School Readiness Program can help be a bridge between home and school for kids who aren’t yet ready for a preschool classroom. Sending children to preschool is a tough decision and when kids have a developmental disability or delay it can be even harder. With School Readiness, each child is with a 1 on 1 Registered Behavior Technician who works with them individually throughout the day in the classroom with other kids in their age group. This gives the comfort of knowing your child is one on one with a trained professional but also learning how to navigate a group classroom situation.
What to consider with ABA School Readiness?
- Is my child interested in other children but doesn’t know how to best interact with them?
- Am I concerned that my child is not ready for preschool or kindergarten but needs some instruction time?
- Does my child need to work on communication?
